DTSG Launches Maiden Environmental Sustainability Awards

The Delta State Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with Kegala Environmental Consultancy Limited, launched the maiden edition of the Delta State Environmental Sustainability Awards ( DSESA ). aimed at rewarding outstanding contributions to environmental stewardship across the state.

Speaking during a press briefing in Asaba, the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Jamani Ejiro, expressed delight over the initiative, describing it as a major step towards achieving environmental sustainability, which he said, remains a key mandate of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.

Jamani explained that the awards aims to honour individuals, organizations, and businesses that have demonstrated commitment to environmental sustainability, through eco-friendly initiatives, community engagement, and compliance with environmental regulations.
